Free Raw Food Demo in Mission
On Saturday, Oct 29th held another raw food demonstration at the Pantry in Mission. Shared how easy it is to make RAW PASTA from root veggies, gave out some tasty raw living food, and answered more raw food questions!

This event was supporting the Pantry's Annual Fall Sale from October 15 - 31 with a focus on whole foods.

And as usual Margo and the gang at The Pantry were a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed the raw food demo, their in-store specials, gift baskets and more!

Once again, sales for my new booklet "Saucy Raw Pasta" are going well and feedback has been great!

Raw Food Demo in Mission

At the Mission Abbotsford Women's Social Club meeting October 5th, I did a raw food presentation. The women were shown how to make RAW PASTA from root vegetables and enjoy hearty samples of veggie pasta in a creamy sauce.

Everyone was surprised by the taste and ease of making Raw Pasta, they enjoyed the hearty samples, and we all had a good time!

Free Raw Food Demos in Abbotsford
Held two raw food demos on Saturday, Sept 10 at Nutrifoods Market on Sumas Way in Abbotsford. Attendees who came specifically for these demos brought their raw food questions, and I was pleased to share my knowledge. My new book "Saucy Raw Pasta" was available for sale!

Free Raw Food Demos in Mission

On Saturday August 13 at the Pantry in Mission, I did a demonstration how to make GREEN SMOOTHIES and showed how easy it is to make RAW PASTA from root veggies! The idea of the demos, which took place at 10:30 am and 1 pm, was to introduce people to raw foods, and give them the chance to taste some delicious living food!

It was a great day with large crowds. I showed how to make of a couple of different flavours of Green Smoothies, and then demonstrated how to make pasta noodles from zucchini, carrots, and beets, which were coated in a creamy sauce. The demos and tasty raw foods were a hit!

The Pantry, 33051 First Avenue in Mission 604-826-7561, is a natural foods store where you will find all those natural food items you have been looking for - just ask the owner, Margo! This was the first year for Mission Fest 2011 - Mission's Downtown Street Fair! They blocked off the main street for events, demos, entertainment at the main stage, and it was a lot of fun to participate.

Victoria Boutenko - June 18, 2010

I am so excited that Victoria is coming to Abbotsford for a 3-hour presentation which will include a 2-hour talk, 1-hour Q&A, and Green Smoothie tasting! I met Victoria at a weekend event last year and thoroughly enjoyed her presentation, the immense amount of information she shared, the Green Smoothies, and of course Victoria who is such an amazingly straight forward person who tells it like it is. If you can attend, it will be well worth it! There will be a 3-week Green Smoothie Challenge following Victoria's talk for those of you who are inspired and want some support getting started - August 10-31.

Victoria Boutenko is an author, teacher, inventor, researcher, artist and mother of three. She teaches classes on healthy living and raw food all over the world. As a result of her research and teachings, thousands of people are drinking and sharing green smoothies.

She has authored 12 Steps to Raw Foods, Green Smoothie Revolution, Raw Family Signature Dishes and Green for Life. Green for Life is an award winning, international best seller which has been translated into 26 languages with over a quarter of a million copies being sold world wide.

Through Victoria's thorough research, she found "that adding blended greens to anyone's diet makes such a profound health improvement, that it may even surpass the benefits of eating a typical all-raw diet with a relatively small amount of greens". EZ Raw Living & Busye Bodye Naturals are bringing healthy lifestyle speakers to Abbotsford - and Tim VanOrden was our latest presenter. On May 5 we booked Dr Brian Clement, and scheduled Victoria Boutenko (for the 2nd year in a row) but unfortunately she had to cancel.

Taste of Health Show - October 25, 2010

A group of us got together and went up to Vancouver to spend the day at the Taste of Health show. Of course we had to snap a picture, so here are a few of my students that were rounded up at picture taking time. Back row from left are May, Lorraine, RawRose, Linda and Chris. Front row from left are Brian, me, and Glen.

Once there everyone scattered in all directions, but we all had a great time visiting the individual table displays, attending the hourly workshops, and taste testing the food samples. A fun day!

My teacher RawRose, was a workshop presenter at the show and made her Banana Lemon Pie. The recipe is in her "Uncooking with RawRose" book. It was just wonderful to see her again!

After the show some of us went to Gorilla Food for a raw meal.

It was a great rush to take pictures before we ate - because we were all very hungry!

Right - Burger and Jungle Coleslaw

Below - Avocado Carrot Soup
